Place Name

Originally called Creeksmouth Lane it was renamed to mark King Edward VII’s coronation on August 9, 1902. Edward VII (November 9, 1841 – May 6, 1910), was the eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The former playboy prince played a role in the modernisation of the British Home Fleet and the reorganisation of the British Army after the Second Boer War.
