Green Arbour Court, EC1A

Place Name

Recorded as Green Arbour in 1637, perhaps a little oasis of countryside in the busy City. It is thought to be named after a 17thCentury inn. Rocque’s 1746 map shows that the court once sat between Old Bailey and Seacoal Lane.
