Bunkers Hill, DA14

Commemorating the Battle of Bunker Hill fought on June 17, 1775 during the Siege of Boston in the early stages of the American Revolutionary War. The hill’s name came from an early British settler George Bunker or possibly from the nearby sand pits, of which there is still evidence. The battle made famous the phrase: “Don’t fire until you see the whites of their eyes”.
